ARE YOU AFRAID OF FAILING?
Are you stuck in the loop of:
‘nothing will work’
‘I’m doomed’
‘I’ve tried everything it’s all the same’
‘This will never get better’
These are the typical statements I hear all the time, from probably around 90% of patients when I first meet them, who are suffering from tinnitus, anxiety, depression, or fear-based behaviours.
This is also precisely what Cognitive Behaviour Therapy targets, as long as you find a good practitioner who also understands your specific condition, not just the CBT theory.
My advice is, if you don’t have a CBT practitioner who knows what tinnitus is... move along! Find someone who does!
Find an Audiologist who delivers CBT specifically for tinnitus - there are a handful of us out there. Reach out!

My Observation is this:
Humans have two choices in life that create very different results.
1. REMAIN IN FEAR
❌Believe your past history.
❌Play out a negative mindset on loop.
❌Write-off your future.
❌Give up and stop paddling with determination.
I promise you, Your outcome, your future will be exactly the same as your past 100%. Or even worse.
This is neuroscience 101. Play the same thinking and behaviour over and over and over, you’ll get the same result 100 fold but likely worse than before. Neurochemistry doesn’t lie. It’s actually incredibly predictable.
OR..
2. PLUNGE INTO THE NEW & EMBRACE POSSIBILITY
✅ Believe in your future and the possibility that there ARE many more choices and experiences you have yet to discover.
✅ Be humble enough to know that you may not know everything, and you can learn more.
✅ That perhaps you’ve hit many roadblocks but it DOES NOT mean the Horizon isn’t there around the corner.
✅ Decide to play out a more hopeful positive mindset, change the negative tape, seek out those who do the same or those who can teach you to.
This option, I can 100% promise you, will give you a different result.
Moving forward with determination, not looking backward, and not sitting in hopeless stagnation.
It’s a crucial decision to make.
Because it IS a decision. You have 2 choices that repeat every moment of your day.
FEAR or DETERMINATION.
And the catch is, no one can force you to decide. No one is coming to save you. It is entirely up to you.
Even the best advice in the world won’t save you because guess what?
It takes YOU to implement and take ACTION on that advice!
It's a tough pill to swallow, it means we must also be accountable, but yes, this is my observation over the years, and personal experience too.
Whatever struggles or tragedies we are experiencing. It really boils down to that. 2 Choices. Determination OR Fear.
