Solutions, Openness & Timing

Do you find this quote to be true?

I have, for myself personally.

I recall the many times I was searching for answers to an ‘issue’ I was experiencing or a ‘problem’ I was looking to resolve, and all along, the answer was right in front of me, and I chose to pass it by. Solutions can come in the form of teachers, specialists, a passing conversation, a book. Something.

Some form of knowledge and information, that if only had I been OPEN to it, my problem would no longer be a problem.

Instead, it would be a memory, and in the past sooner rather than later.

But for whatever reason at that point in time, I wasn’t ready to receive that information. I chose to walk on by. Maybe I wasn’t mentally prepared enough. Maybe I was too cynical and tired to believe in a solution in the first place. Maybe I didn’t think I deserved a solution deep down. Maybe I was stubborn! I’m not sure, there have been many of those times in my 36 years of life I’m certain. What I know for sure is that WHEN I was READY, my mind and heart were OPEN to learning. OPEN TO THE POSSIBILITY OF CHANGE.

It usually came in the form of the same information crossing my path numerous times, perhaps in the exact same way as before except the difference this time was that I was ready.

Point is, we have many resources and teachers around us, but what truly matters is a readiness to learn from the information before us I came across a book in my library a few months ago. One that arrived in the post, gifted to me by my Aunt 15years ago. I stopped at page 10 back then. I thought it was a load of croc. Didn’t really give it a chance.

This time- I read it front to back in 2 days.

‘Wow!’ I thought. ‘How did I not see that this book is so on point! How could I have let this pass me by? Why did I write it off as pointless?!’

But now I see, I simply wasn’t ready for what was within those pages. I didn’t have the capacity back then to comprehend it in a way it deserved.

In hindsight, even if I did force myself to read it, my mind and heart wouldn’t have truly understood, perhaps it needed more knocks in life, or more openness, or perhaps it was just timing.

Whatever the exact reason, is not important. The lesson from it was though.

So many times my clients say, ‘why didn’t I do this sooner?’ ‘I wish I could rewind 15years a go and have learnt this before!’ They kick themselves for not acting before. Wishing they could give their past selves the knowledge before them today.

So I say to them, ‘What if you were simply not ready back then?’ Stop ‘shoulding all over yourself!’ No more I should have done this, I should have done that!

Celebrate where you are today, don’t wish for it to be any different.

Perhaps this is exactly where you are meant to be and how it was meant to unfold.

Look forward, not behind.

The purpose of this message is that I truly believe that when you are ready, the right information will appear before you.

Not because it wasn’t already there the entire time, but maybe because now you are prepared to see it, with fresh eyes, an open mind and a willing heart.

When you are ready, the solution will appear.

In wellness,
