Brain Train vs Brain Drain

How you use your mind trains your brain, yes!

Did you know that...

Positive and negative thinking impact gene expression in the brain?

This is why I talk about emotional regulation and psychology so very much.

So HOW you interact with the world changes your brain every moment, every day.

This is why mind & brain training is a full-time-ish requirement.

It is similar to a stable job, which provides security for our physical outcomes.

Did you know that the brain directs physiological responses, pain management, sensations and symptoms to a large degree? It’s the driver!

Therefore it makes logical sense that training your mind, has a beautiful domino effect of also training your body into a greater state of health.

Sounds doable right? Sounds amazing actually. And IT IS.

But here’s the fine print...

🔥 Mind training isn’t a ‘flash in the pan’ side hustle kind of thing. It doesn’t work that way.

😭You cannot expect to go to one therapy session and come out a new wo/man the next day.

📚 You cannot expect to do 3 crosswords on the commute to work today and wake up a genius tomorrow.

😫You cannot do one yoga class and expect the release of tension to stick around for 3 days after.

Nope.

Doesn’t work that way ❌

How does it work then?

✅ Effort is required

✅ Consistency is required

✅ Planning is required

✅ Commitment to Self is required

Even on the days when it’s hard, every little bit of effort counts.

Your gene expression AND subsequent physical outcomes depend on it.

And all of that, is within YOUR control.

That is actually, quite wonderful to know 🌈

Wishing you wellness, and controlling the controllable variables you have, for positive change.
